A key to implant success is the quantity and quality of the bone where the implant is to be placed. If you've lost bone in that area due to reasons such as periodontal disease or tooth loss, you may be left without enough bone to place implants. Additional surgical procedures like Sinus augmentation or lateral ridge modification will increase the width and the depth of the bone in the surgical site to prepare the site for the future implant placement.
Dear Dr. Basta, Just wanted to thank you once again for doing such a great job on my implant which was way overdue anyway. I wished I did it sooner, but then again, I'm glad I was referred to you.
Sincerely, Loida R. Rancho Cucamonga, CA
